The following article was written by Funmi and we’re sure you will find it warm, uplifting and very moving. She writes a letter on behalf of God to His children and it’s a much needed reminder of who God is and who we are as His children.
My dear child,
Before time began, I AM, I think, feel, and know with wisdom and right judgement. For I know all things, and I am everywhere.
I AM love, joy peace, patience kindness, goodness, gentleness, self-control, grace, and mercy. I AM all strength, power and might. All these and much more are rolled up in me.
Then I created from nothing, using my word, with knowledge, prudence, wisdom aforethought. I shaped in the spiritual realm spirit beings and in the physical realm, I shaped planets. On the earth, I shaped each flower blade and tree; stars, sun, moon, sky, and land; each bird, animal, and sea creature all after their kind.
And the best of my creation on earth, mankind – male and female, I moulded, knit together, and shaped to be like me. They are all my children and I gave them the earth as home.
Yet I know sorrow and pain, heartache, and sadness. As I moulded, I knew, I felt joy wrapped with sadness; gentleness and peace wrapped each hurt and pain. Patience, kindness, goodness, and endurance wrapping each moment of apprehension. Wonder, strength, power and might wrapping each hesitation and fear. Yes, before you were made, I went through it all, even before the reality of calvary.
So, know that when you go through any joy, pain, or suffering, I AM with you each step of the way. And when you can’t walk or crawl, I AM carries you. When you are confused, I AM leads you. When you are in pain and hurting, I AM comforts and strengthens you. With my peace overflowing through you, I AM refining you to look more like my Son.
When you feel surrounded by dark nights, I AM light in and around you. So do not fear or be afraid. Stay with me for it is only a moment and the night passes. Troubles on the earth are light and for a moment. Then comes the day when the dawn rises and light is forevermore.
So, sing through the storm while you cry. Smile through the rain while you sob. Praise through the heartache and pain and call on me for I AM here. Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. For you are my precious child made in my image and likeness.
I grieved when you left home and wandered into the dominion of darkness. Your beloved brother came to rescue you and though the pain and torture he bore was excruciating, he never gave up, for you are precious to us and we wanted you back home. He bought you back with his precious blood.
We remade you, cleansed you in the depths of the waters of baptism and cloth you in our righteousness. You are wonderfully and fearfully made twice over. Now you can help others to come back home too by pointing them to my Son, your brother, Jesus.
I AM with you all the way. Even though sometimes you don’t feel my presence, keep talking and singing to me. Keep walking in my path and hold my words closely to you in your heart, mind and in all your actions. It all brings me great joy and glory.
Never let me go for I won’t let you go or fall. Keep being yoked to me for my Spirit is in you and you are in my Hand. Keep my armour on and never take it off. One day, we truly will be together, and you will see me as I AM. Don’t be afraid of that day, for you will be coming home… coming home to stay for eternity where you truly belong.
So, my beloved and precious child never forget I AM your Creator, Wisdom, Sustainer, Healer, Helper, Strength, Power, and Righteousness.
