The Bible teaching about the nature of Christian leadership is unique and valuable. There is a part in which God selects, calls, and equips His chosen leaders. There is also the practical side where people can learn specific leadership skills. but unlike what we see happening in many religious groups today, there are qualifications which must be met!

There are no qualifications laid down in the Old Testament like we have in the New Testament for elders but someone who was older and has lots of experience in life, knows God and His will seems to be the criteria to govern God’s people during the Old Testament. Elders

Deacons, too, have a crucial role in the life and the health of the local church, but their role is different from the elders’. The Biblical role of deacons is to take care of the physical and logistical needs of the church so that the elders can concentrate on their primary calling. Deacons
